man's soul..
We have learned from the previous topics that
"Faith and the Gospel of Christ are needed
for salvation.

How can anyone
come to the know the
truth about the Gospel of Christ and
gain access to grace of God?
In Hebrews 11:6, this is
written:
Now it is impossible to please
God without faith, since anyone
who comes to him must believe
that he exists and rewards those
who seek him. (NJB)
Faith
is the key to the truth. It
is through faith that an earnest
truth-seeker can gain access to the grace
that God may grant Him, for God
rewards those who seek him. Try as he may
come to God without faith, he will
completely fail.

How does Faith and the Gospel come together to
effect salvation?
In the
following verses, these are written:
Fool! When will you ever learn that
``believing'' is useless without doing
what God wants you to? Faith that
does not result in good deeds is not
real faith. (James 2:20, LVB)
Do you see that faith was
working together with his works, and by
works faith was made perfect? (James
2:22, NKJV)
The Good News reveals the way that
God makes people right. It begins and
ends by faith. This is written:
``The person who is right with God by
faith will live (Romans 1:17, IEB)
Faith
becomes perfect for salvation when he come
to believe in the Gospel of Christ and have
done the things God wants him to do, that is by following the
will of God as revealed in Gospel. For the Gospel (Good News)
shows the way how God makes people right
with Himself.

What is the promise of God to those who have
acquired the perfect faith in Him and Christ,
for those who have done His will and endured the
trials to the end?
. . . . . . . But he who endures to the
end will be saved.
(Matthew 10:22, RSV)
Blessed is the man who endures trial,
for when he has stood the test he will
receive the crown of life which God has
promised to those who love him.
(James 1:12, RSV)
They will be
given the "Crown of
Life" — the eternal life in the Holy City,
the heavenly home of God's people.

It
is therefore essential that a person must
acquire a strong faith in God and Christ. He
must also fully understand and believe in the Gospel of Christ.
As a result he will have the strength to
faithfully follow the will of God and do
whatever is required of him to be done. Thus, he can be assured of salvation from the
wrath of God on the Day of Judgment, and be
given the crown of life—the eternal life in
the heaven.
